WELFARE BENEFITS CASEWORKER

Hours:      37 hours per week
Days:        5 days per week.  
Salary:      £28,927 per annum + 6% pension contribution    
Duration:  ongoing subject to future funding 
Location:  Home-based or based at our Rugby or Bedworth office.  Some presence at our Bedworth office will be required.

We are looking for a Welfare Benefits Caseworker to join the Warwickshire Specialist Benefits Service within BRANCAB.  The successful applicant will report to the Lead Welfare Benefits Caseworker  and:

•    Have knowledge and experience of welfare benefits and advice provision.
•    Have knowledge and experience of the benefit appeals process.
•    Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
•    Be committed to the aims and principles of the service and to continuous personal development.
•    Be committed to service development including improving knowledge and awareness of welfare benefits within BRANCAB and among partner organisations.

MONEY MENTOR

Hours:     18.5 hrs per week
Days:        3 days per week. 
Salary:      £12,631
per annum + 6% pension contribution
Duration:  The role is a fixed term position until 31st March 2023.  Extension beyond this date will be subject to future funding.
Location:  Bedworth and Nuneaton.


The Breakthrough Programme is jointly funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund and is designed to provide intensive support to beneficiaries to address the financial barriers they face and helping them to acquire employability skills that will lead to paid employment and give the confidence to play a full and active role in their community.  The programme is delivered across Coventry and Warwickshire.    

The role of the Money Mentor is to provide intensive support to beneficiaries to address financial barriers helping them to be better able to plan for the future, work towards gaining and sustaining employment and improving self-esteem and confidence to take a full and active role in their community.

The successful applicant will have:

•    Experience of providing advice to vulnerable clients
•    Knowledge of debt, benefits and financial capability
•    An ordered approach to work and compliance with procedures
•    Good interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills
•    Good teamworking skills
•    A commitment to equal opportunities and sustainable development
•    The ability to travel between Rugby and Nuneaton and Bedworth and other parts of Coventry and Warwickshire as required.

OUTREACH ADVISOR

Hours:       18.5 hours per week
Days:         3 days per week 
Salary:      £10,750 per annum + 6% pension contribution
Duration:  The role is initially a fixed term position until 31st March 2022.  Extension beyond this date will be subject to future funding.
Location:  Nuneaton and Bedworth


The role will require delivery of outreach advice in relation to the Children and Family Centre Project across Nuneaton and Bedworth.  Specifically:
Nuneaton
--Delivery of 1 day per week outreach at  Camp Hill, Stockingford and Riversley Children and Family Centres
--Cover for Bedworth Centres when required

The successful applicant will have:

•    Experience of providing advice to clients
•    Ability to work on initiative
•    An ordered approach to work and compliance with case recording and data
•    Good interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills
•    Good teamworking skills
•    A commitment to equal opportunities and sustainable development
•    The ability to travel across Nuneaton and Bedworth.

TRUSTEES

BRANCAB is a  registered charity and therefore has its own board of trustees. There are currently 2 vacancies on the Board.  Whilst some trustee roles require specific skills  we welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and experience. As a trustee you will be responsible for and plan the overall strategic direction for the bureau, act as employer for paid staff, manage the bureau’s finances, ensure the bureau complies with the law, be responsible for premises, insurance and equipment.
